  • Well, well. Hang on a second. Three goals in a row from the Tigers in quick succession, courtesy of Stack (two) and Lynch, cuts the deficit to just 12 points with 3:39 left in the game, 10.11.71 to 12.11.83.

Are the Tigers going to play massive party poopers?

Meanwhile, the Swans are running absolutely rampant at Marvel Stadium and they now lead by 78 points with 13:19 left in the game, 18.9.117 to 5.9.39.

Franklin has a game-high six goals, and Papley has three. Franklin now needs eight more to reach 100 career goals.

Scrimshaw kicks one of the goals of the day and the Hawks are heading for a fitting result for their legends Clarkson and Burgoyne. With 4:50 remaining, the Hawks lead by 25 points, 12.11.83 to 8.10.58.

The Hawks are going to be hard to catch from here.

Wingard becomes their fourth multiple goalkicker, along with Brockman, Phillips and Lewis, to put them up by 25 points with 7:40 left in the game, 11.11.77 to 7.10.52.

Clarkson and Burgoyne look like they’re going to be sent off into the sunset in the best possible fashion.

Koschitzke has been subbed out with what looks like a right shoulder or AC joint injury. He has been replaced in the Hawthorn line-up by Newcombe.

The Hawks still lead the Tigers by a comfortable 17-point margin with 10:45 left in the game, 10.9.69 to 7.10.52.

    Leading disposals: Mitchell 35, O’Meara 30, Wingard 24, Ross 23, Worpel 23

The Swans are heading for an easy victory, but in a big blow for them, star midfielder Mills has been subbed out with what looks like a foot issue.

Don’t forget, Mills has been plagued by Achilles issues all year, so if he has suffered a recurrence, that could put his finals series in jeopardy.

Another successful quarter for the Hawks, outscoring the Tigers by another four points to extend their lead to 16 points at three-quarter time.

With just one more quarter left in the Hawthorn careers of Clarkson and Burgoyne, you’d be surprised if they didn’t finish off the job from here.

The Hawks have broken this game wide open.

They’ve kicked the opening two goals for the third term, courtesy of Phillips and Lewis, to take a commanding 25-point lead nearing the halfway mark of the quarter, 8.8.56 to 4.7.31.

Hawthorn have now booted the last four goals, and seven of the last eight after trailing by 13 poinst early.

The Hawks are blitzing the Tigers in the disposals this quarter 56-21.

Phillips becomes the Hawks’ second multiple goalkicker along with Brockman.

After conceding the first seven goals of the game, the Suns have managed to stabilise things, but the damage looks like it’s already been done.

Sydney continue to dominate the disposals 202-166, while they also lead the marks 60-51, contested possessions 66-59, inside 50s 26-24, free kicks 13-10 and scoring shots 16-11.

Franklin is now on 989 career goals, needing just 11 more to become the sixth VFL/AFL player to crack the magical 1000 barrier.
