Suspect sought in alleged east-end sex assault

Toronto Police are on the lookout for a suspect in connection with an alleged sex assault in the city’s east end overnight Monday.

Police opened an investigation on Monday at 1:40 a.m. following an incident in the area of Broadview Ave. and Mountstephen St., where it was reported a 21-year-old woman was approached from behind by an unknown man and sexually assaulted.

The man fled eastbound through a laneway.

  • The suspect is described as between 5-foot-10 and 6 feet, with dark almond-shaped eyes. He was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, black slim-fitted jeans, black running shoes, a dark blue mask, and a silver square-shaped earring.
